Sussex University Concrete Repairs

Project Name: Sussex University Concrete Repairs.
Client: Sussex University – Bramber House Sussex Campus.
Completed Work: Damaged concrete repairs.
Project Date: 2010 – present.

We completed concrete repairs at Bramber House Sussex Campus at the University of Sussex.

By working in collaboration with Pilbeam Construction of Brighton, Archers were instructed to carry out concrete repairs to the outside of one of the many office buildings within the University campus.

Bramber House is based at the University of Sussex, and is a four storey building which provides a number of functions and facilities to students, staff, operators and more, including catering, dining, conferencing, offices and retail.

It can be a busy area of the campus, with many students deciding to meet up in this area and to even enjoy picnics in the sunshine.

The University itself is a short distance from Brighton, it is a well-respected establishment that was founded in 1958.

Archer Specialist Treatments were only too happy to be asked to work on an establishment such as this and have no problem in finding ways that we can work with our clients which will satisfy everyone that is either involved in or affected by our work.

THE CHALLENGE

Once works had started it quickly became apparent that the occupants were finding it increasingly distracting to their work due to the noise created whilst gunning off the defective existing concrete.

THE STRATEGY

In order to achieve an amicable solution our operatives agreed to work outside of normal hours to ensure the distraction to the occupants was kept to an acceptable level.
